To convert our Physical Servers to Virtual Servers, you need two things. The first thing you need is the Macrium Reflect Rescue Environment ISO (a bootable environment we can use to restore images). Before creating the Rescue Media, it is important that the VMWare drivers are added to the Rescue Media, so that it can communicate with the virtualized hardware. These drivers can be extracted from the relevant VMWare Tools, for your operating system, that can be downloaded here.
The ISO image is only 7MB and boots up very quickly compared to BartPE or UBCD4Win. Best of all is that no extra download, installation or configuration is required because the ISO file is already included in the Macrium Reflect download.

Possible solutions. Burn another bootable CD/DVD disc or create a bootable ISO disk image correctly and try to boot again. Check the media you have inserted into the optical drive attached to the VM. Sometimes it may happen that the wrong disc is inserted unintentionally. Verify the checksum of your file after downloading the ISO image by comparing with the reference checksum on the source site.
My technique relies on a special foundational tool called Ventoy, along with a collection of ISO files from which Ventoy will boot a Windows PC. The first part of this story introduces and explains Ventoy. The second part explains that improved performance may justify the cost of an NVMe SSD and a compatible USB drive enclosure. The third introduces a carefully curated collection of ISO files, with brief explanations of what they can do, what they contain, and where to find and download them.
In addition to the ISOs listed below, I also now keep all Windows 10 and Windows 11 ISOs I download from the Microsoft web pages or other download centers on my Ventoy drive. I omit listing them here because keeping them on the drive is a matter of convenience and easy access, not necessarily a repair and recovery strategy. That said, any current Windows 10 or 11 ISO can serve as Windows recovery media if chosen as a boot target in Ventoy.
In order to use Hirens Boot CD PE, you need to download the ISO file, once the disk file is burned to the disk, it can be used to start the computer. After booting from the disk, you can use the built-in utility to clone the disk. Next, I will show you the specific steps:
Step 1. You can download the Hirens Boot CD from its official website. After downloading the ISO file, you can use Windows' built-in Windows Disc Image Burner to copy the information from the ISO to a CD/DVD/USB drive. (Since many computers have no CD/DVD drive, here is an example of burning to USB)Step 2. To burn an ISO to USB, you should download Rufus, a simple and free tool for creating a bootable USB drive. After that, insert the USB device and run Rufus. This operation will erase all data on the USB, please back it up in advance.Step 3. After running the app, select FAT32(default) for the file system. Step 4. Navigate to Format Options, then change the option next to Create a bootable disk using ISO Image.Step 5. Select the little CD icon next to this box and browse to the location of the ISO file in the HBCD folder.
It should not make a difference if your boot is formatted using NTFS or FAT32. I never ran into this issue with macrium. Does the laptop have an optical drive? You may need to boot using a CD/DVD instead of a flash drive. 2ff7e9595c
