Left Behind 2: Tribulation Force picks up where the previous movie, Left Behind, leaves off. Journalist Cameron 'Buck' Williams, pilot Rayford Steele, Ray's daughter Chloe, and pastor Bruce Barnes have realized the truth regarding the Rapture in which millions of people worldwide suddenly disappeared without a trace. This event has left the world in panic and confusion as the people that were left behind try to make sense of the vanishings. Buck, Rayford, Chloe, and Bruce make up what they call the Tribulation Force. Their mission is to spread the truth about the Rapture and to combat the lies of the Antichrist, United Nations leader Nicolae Carpathia. Meanwhile, events occur that lead Bruce to believe the Tribulation, a period of seven year trials on Earth, is about to begin. One of these events is the fatal burning of three men at the Wailing Wall in Israel. In addition, the Rabbi Ben-Judah plans to make an announcement that the Tribulation Force learns will help Nicolae gain control of the world's governments. Together, the Tribulation Force must stop the announcement of Rabbi Ben-Judah and foil the Antichrist's plan to deceive the world into believing that he is the Messiah.
